Role Description The Chief Data Officer (CDO) is responsible for defining and executing the data strategy that supports Tarak360 Capital’s investment, advisory, and market intelligence activities. This is a full-time remote role that oversees data governance, data management, data quality, and data science initiatives across the organization. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing data policies and standards, leading the design and implementation of data architectures, and ensuring the integrity, security, and regulatory compliance of data assets. The CDO collaborates with investment, advisory, and technology teams to translate business needs into data solutions, build analytical frameworks for decision-making, and drive the adoption of data-driven practices. The role also involves leading data teams, selecting appropriate tools and platforms, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in the use of data.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in Data Governance, including setting policies, standards, and frameworks for data usage and compliance.
Hands-on experience in Data Management and Data Quality, covering data architecture, integration, stewardship, and validation processes.
Advanced Analytical Skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets, build dashboards and reports, and support strategic and operational decisions.
Proficiency in Data Science, including statistical analysis, modeling, and working with modern data and analytics tools or platforms.
Proven leadership experience in senior data roles, with the ability to build and manage cross-functional data teams and drive organizational change.
Knowledge of investment, financial services, or venture capital domains, and familiarity with regulatory and security requirements for financial data.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate with executive leadership and non-technical teams.
Relevant academic background in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree is beneficial.
