  • Role Description
  • This full-time, remote Chief Data Officer role is responsible for setting and executing the overall data strategy across the organization and its portfolio companies. The Chief Data Officer will oversee data governance frameworks, ensure data quality standards, and manage data architecture and data management processes. This role will lead data science and analytics initiatives to support investment decisions, portfolio performance tracking, and market insights. The Chief Data Officer will collaborate with executive leadership, investment teams, and technology partners to embed data-driven practices into core business processes, while building and coaching high-performing data and analytics teams.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Data Governance and Data Management, including designing policies, standards, and data architecture.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Data Quality practices, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data across systems.
  • Advanced Data Science and Analytical Skills, including experience with statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and business intelligence tools.
  • Proven experience leading enterprise-wide data strategies, preferably within investment, financial services, or consumer-facing businesses.
  • Ability to translate complex data insights into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience managing remote teams and collaborating effectively in a distributed work environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering); an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Familiarity with modern data platforms, cloud technologies, and regulatory requirements related to data privacy and security.
