  • Position Overview
  • We are seeking an experienced Change Integration Business Analyst with strong operational knowledge of Epic Cadence to bridge the gap between clinical/contact center operations and Epic IT.
  • This role will partner closely with clinic operations, contact center leadership, scheduling teams, and Epic IT build analysts to understand current-state workflows, identify opportunities for improvement, translate operational needs into actionable technical requirements, and support successful implementation of workflow changes.
  • The ideal candidate is not required to be an Epic-certified Cadence Builder or Analyst, but must have direct hands-on operational experience with Epic Cadence and be able to effectively communicate with Epic Cadence analysts using the appropriate functional and technical terminology.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Requirements Gathering & Workflow Mapping
  • Meet with clinic and contact center operations teams to understand business needs, scheduling workflows, pain points, and desired future-state processes.
  • Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions with operational stakeholders and translate discussions into clear, actionable requirements.
  • Document current-state and future-state workflows using tools such as Microsoft Visio and other non-Epic process-mapping tools.
  • Identify workflow dependencies, gaps, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Develop detailed workflow documentation that can be used by Epic IT and operational teams.
  • Epic Cadence & IT Translation
  • Serve as the operational liaison between clinic/contact center stakeholders and the Epic IT build team.
  • Translate operational requirements into clear functional and technical requirements that Epic analysts can execute.
  • Collaborate with Epic Cadence analysts to validate proposed workflows, identify system limitations, and determine appropriate configuration approaches.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of Epic Cadence functionality, including:
  • Decision Trees and the technical components that support them.
  • Waitlist / Fast Pass functionality.
  • Best-practice appointment template design and building concepts.
  • Online Scheduling and its interaction with Decision Trees.
  • Review proposed Epic workflows and configurations from an operational perspective to ensure they meet business and patient-access needs.
  • Support testing, validation, issue identification, and resolution throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Change Management & Training
  • Lead or coordinate change management activities associated with scheduling and workflow enhancements.
  • Partner with clinic and contact center leadership to assess the operational impact of upcoming changes.
  • Develop and communicate workflow changes to affected stakeholders.
  • Ensure contact center schedulers, clinic staff, and other end users understand new or modified processes.
  • Develop or coordinate training materials, job aids, workflow documentation, and other resources as needed.
  • Support go-live readiness and provide post-implementation support to help teams successfully adopt new workflows.
