  • Overview
  • An opportunity is available for a Capital Transaction Analyst to join a Treasury team focused on capital management, strategic transactions and financial analysis. This role will support the evaluation and execution of capital initiatives while working closely with finance, investment and risk stakeholders to strengthen long-term financial performance and decision-making.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse strategic capital transaction opportunities and provide recommendations to optimise financial outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Development, Investment Management, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Enterprise Risk Management teams on key finance initiatives.
  • Maintain and enhance analytical models and tools used to assess capital, financing and regulatory impacts.
  • Monitor the performance and allocation of corporate investment portfolios, including liquidity, investment allocation and returns.
  • Produce financial reporting and analytics to support capital allocation and strategic decision-making.
  • Identify capital optimisation opportunities and provide insights to senior leadership.
  • Improve reporting, modelling and analytical processes through automation and technology enhancements.
  • Support balance sheet management initiatives, including financing transactions, strategic investments and reinsurance analysis.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment and identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies.
  • Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in one or more of the following:
  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
  • Actuarial analysis
  • Corporate Development
  • Investment Management
  • Enterprise Risk Management
  • Management Consulting
  • At least 1 year of experience performing financial analysis or financial optimisation.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Preferred Experience
  • 5+ years' relevant experience.
  • ASA or CFA qualification (or progress towards certification).
  • Experience in capital management, actuarial pricing, hedging, mergers & acquisitions or reinsurance.
  • Understanding of investments and asset-liability management.
  • Knowledge of regulatory capital, rating agency and economic capital frameworks.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and statutory accounting.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
