Responsible for preparing well-documented functional specifications for assigned projects, test plans, test cases, and execution of test cases. Responsible for research analysis of complex data, ensuring the functional design of assigned projects is accurate.
Serve as a mentor to less experienced staff by assisting in application training, research analysis, and project methodology consultation.
Serve as functional lead on complex projects for assigned applications.
Schedule and facilitate project team meetings, document and distribute meeting minutes as applicable.
Meet with business client to discuss requested application changes related to an enterprise-wide or business initiative, compliance/regulatory requirement, needed system change due to contractual agreement, or system maintenance (business as usual [BAU]), ensuring a thorough understanding of specifications for assigned applications.
Minimum 6 years of operational/business analytics experience.
Minimum 6 years of experience with debit/card processing platforms (e.g., Postilion, FIS, Fiserv, ACI, etc.)
Minimum 6 years of experience in SQL (querying transaction data, validation, troubleshooting)
Minimum 6 years of experience with real-time transaction processing systems (authorization engines/switches)
Minimum 6 years of experience in analyzing end-to-end transaction flows across multiple systems
Minimum 6 years of experience working with APIs and system integrations
Minimum 6 years of experience with log analysis and production issue investigation
What Sets You Apart:
Bachelor's Degree.
Understanding of message-based integrations (ISO 8583 or similar transaction formats)
Knowledge of batch processing and ETL pipelines (file-based processing, reconciliation)
Ability to trace and troubleshoot transaction issues across distributed systems
Exposure to card management systems
Understanding of ATM / POS transaction routing (Visa, STAR, etc.)
Familiarity with mainframe environments (CICS, TPX, batch processing)
Experience supporting high-availability / high-volume transaction systems
Exposure to fraud systems and decisioning logic (rules engines, risk scoring)
Experience with modernization/platform migrations (parallel runs, cutover support)
Subject matter expert in business with knowledge or experience utilizing the application/system being supported.
Capable of working on multiple projects of a complex nature.
Advanced understanding of applications supported with a sound knowledge of interfacing/integrated applications.
Advanced knowledge and focus on the entire system to work on projects outside of normal BAU.
Strong understanding of Bank acquisition methodology or similar conversion experience.
Ability to effectively use project management, word processing, and spreadsheet applications.
