The Opportunity

The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) is responsible for bridging the gap between client business needs and technical solution delivery within the Salesforce ecosystem. Operating within a consulting environment, the BSA leads discovery, defines requirements, and supports the design of scalable, outcome-driven solutions. This role emphasizes a consultative approach, ensuring that client requests are fully understood, challenged where appropriate, and aligned to long-term business value.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • 1. Discovery & Business Analysis
  • Facilitate client workshops and stakeholder interviews to gather and clarify business requirements
  • Analyze current-state processes and identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Elicit underlying business objectives and translate requests into clearly defined problem statements
  • Apply a consultative mindset to move beyond stated requirements and uncover root causes
  • 2. Requirements Management
  • Document detailed functional and non-functional requirements (user stories, process flows, use cases, acceptance criteria)
  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog in alignment with project goals and scope
  • Ensure traceability between business needs, requirements, and delivered solutions
  • Continuously refine requirements based on stakeholder feedback and evolving project needs
  • 3. Solution Design Support
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects and technical teams to design Salesforce-based solutions
  • Evaluate multiple solution approaches, considering scalability, maintainability, and platform best practices
  • Contribute to system design artifacts, including process diagrams, data models, and solution documentation
  • Ensure alignment between business requirements and technical implementation
  • 4. Delivery & Validation
  • Support Agile delivery processes, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily collaboration with delivery teams
  • Validate completed work against acceptance criteria and business expectations
  • Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning and defect management
  • Ensure delivered solutions meet defined business outcomes and quality standards
  • 5. Stakeholder Management
  • Act as a primary point of contact for business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear, business-friendly manner
  • Build trust with clients by providing informed recommendations and guidance
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, scope, and priorities in alignment with project constraints
  • 6. Continuous Improvement & Advisory
  • Identify opportunities to improve client processes, systems, and overall solution effectiveness
  • Proactively recommend enhancements and alternative approaches to maximize business value
  • Contribute to internal best practices, methodologies, and knowledge sharing
  • Stay informed on Salesforce platform capabilities and industry trends

What you’ll bring:

  • Consultative Thinking
  • Ability to challenge assumptions and reframe problems constructively
  • Focus on outcomes rather than task execution
  • Strong curiosity and ability to uncover the “why” behind requests
  • Analytical Skills
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities
  • Ability to assess trade-offs and recommend optimal solutions
  • Skilled in process analysis and systems thinking
  • Communication
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to facilitate discussions across both business and technical audiences
  • Strong documentation and presentation capabilities
  • Collaboration
  • Works effectively in cross-functional delivery teams
  • Builds strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders

  • Success Measures
  • Quality and clarity of documented requirements
  • Alignment of delivered solutions to business outcomes
