Business/Systems Analyst IV

Hiring: Business/Systems Analyst IV | St. Louis, MO | Onsite

We’re looking for an experienced Business/Systems Analyst IV with strong expertise in SQL, data analysis, data quality, data lineage, and enterprise systems to bridge the gap between business and technical teams and support data-driven product and technology initiatives.

• Location: St. Louis, MO (Onsite)
• Duration: 6 Months (Possibility of Extension)

Key Responsibilities & Skills:

• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to evaluate features, technology initiatives, and business requirements
• Ensure products and technical solutions align with user needs and organizational goals
• Investigate data-related issues including data drops, duplicates, correctness, and anomalies
• Research data lineage and trace end-to-end data mapping across enterprise systems
• Perform data quality checks, validation, and anomaly detection using SQL and analytical techniques
• Write and analyze ad hoc SQL queries to support data investigations and validation
• Participate in ticket triage and Production Migration Request (PMR) meetings
• Create, track, and manage tickets using JIRA
• Collaborate with Data Quality and Data Validation teams to ensure thorough testing and adherence to team standards
• Utilize tools such as Monte Carlo and Octane for data quality monitoring and validation
• Review existing processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements and best practices
• Leverage knowledge of AI concepts and tools to improve team efficiency and delivery velocity

Mandatory Skills:

• 5+ years of experience with SQL, data analysis, and data validation
• Strong experience with Data Quality and Data Validation
• Experience researching Data Lineage and Data Mapping
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in an enterprise environment
• Hands-on experience with JIRA
• Experience investigating data anomalies, duplicates, and data correctness issues
• Strong understanding of business and technical requirements
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on SQL skills, experience with data quality, lineage, mapping, and validation, and enough technical depth to work closely with engineering and data teams.

• Experience with Python programming
• UNIX Shell scripting experience
• Snowflake experience
• Data Warehousing experience
• Experience with Monte Carlo or similar data observability tools
• Experience with Octane
• Knowledge of AI concepts and tools for improving productivity and delivery velocity
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Data, or a related field
