About The Role
The Business Systems Analyst supports the Payroll and Benefits systems and processes by providing analytical, technical, and functional assistance. Working under the guidance of senior analysts or business consultants, this role focuses on issue triage, system support, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives. The analyst collaborates across cross-functional teams to enhance system performance, user experience, and business outcomes.
What you'll do
- Provide Level 2 support and triage for end users and stakeholders regarding Payroll & Benefits system processes, issues, and capabilities, under the guidance of a Senior Analyst or Business Consultant.
- Analyze, monitor, and support Payroll & Benefits applications and system integrations, ensuring smooth system functionality and issue resolution.
- Develop, prepare, and execute test cases and test scenarios based on business requirements, system knowledge, and defined acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with senior analysts and developers to support Quality Assurance (QA) activities and assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system enhancements and new initiatives.
- Work as part of cross-functional teams, including People (HR) teams and Digital & Technology (D&T) resources, to support project delivery and stakeholder alignment for system changes.
- Support organizational objectives by assisting in the evaluation and adoption of AI-driven solutions and emerging technologies within Payroll and Benefits functions.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and IT teams to ensure effective communication and timely solution delivery.
- Gather and analyze user feedback to identify opportunities for system and process improvements, contributing recommendations to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
- Act as an advocate for Payroll and Benefits teams, ensuring issues and concerns are addressed promptly and effectively.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems or equivalent
- 0–3 years of experience in business systems analysis, HRIS, Payroll, or Benefits systems
- Basic knowledge of Payroll and Benefits systems (preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of testing methodologies (QA/UAT)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Interest in emerging technologies, including AI applications in HR systems
- Knowledge of SQL or basic data analysis tools.
- Programming Languages like Java, Python etc.,

- Experience supporting HR or payroll-related data processes.
- Exposure to system integrations and HR technologies
- Willingness to learn and grow within Payroll & Benefits systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
