Process mapping & discovery: Has interviewed users, documented current-state workflows, identified manual steps, bottlenecks, handoffs, and inefficiencies.
Automation mindset: Has identified repetitive/manual work that could be automated. Power Automate, Power Platform, RPA, workflow automation, or similar exposure is excellent.
Microsoft Copilot: Any hands-on experience using Microsoft Copilot/Copilot Studio to improve business processes is a major plus. They don't necessarily need to be developing complex AI solutions.
Requirements: Can turn a business problem into requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, or SOPs that a technical team can execute.
Business metrics: Can quantify things like “this process takes 15 minutes and happens 200 times per week” to help determine whether an automation is actually worth building.
Communication: Comfortable sitting directly with process owners, asking questions, challenging inefficient processes, and documenting what they learn.
GRC/compliance: Nice bonus because that's where they're starting, but I wouldn't eliminate a strong process/automation candidate for not having it.
On-site: Must be willing to work 5 days/week in Westlake, Ohio.
