  • Position Summary
  • The Business Systems & NetSuite Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day support, administration, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the company's business systems. This is a hands-on business systems/IT role focused primarily on ERP administration, application support, integrations, and technical troubleshooting, with business process analysis as a secondary responsibility.

The position serves as a primary point of contact for NetSuite ERP, EDI transactions, integrations, and third-party business applications, ensuring critical business processes operate efficiently and accurately.

  • The ideal candidate has experience supporting business applications beyond an end-user level and enjoys troubleshooting system issues, learning how systems work together, and identifying ways technology can improve business processes. This can be a growth role for someone with a solid technical foundation who is interested in developing deeper NetSuite, EDI, and integration experience.
  • Essential Responsibilities
  • Business Systems Support
  • Provide daily support for NetSuite ERP and third-party business applications.
  • Monitor business systems, integrations, dashboards, and automated processes for errors or failures.
  • Proactively identify issues affecting business operations.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application and system issues.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for internal users experiencing system issues.
  • Research technical issues and coordinate with software vendors or development partners when escalation is required.
  • Assist with testing, troubleshooting, and implementation of system enhancements.
  • NetSuite Administration
  • Maintain NetSuite users, roles, permissions, and security.
  • Create and maintain Saved Searches, Reports, Dashboards, and KPIs.
  • Create and maintain basic SuiteFlow workflows.
  • Assist with system configuration, custom fields, forms, and other administrative changes.
  • Perform CSV imports, data cleanup, and data integrity initiatives.
  • Support testing and deployment of NetSuite enhancements and new functionality.
  • Review NetSuite release notes and evaluate the potential impact of system updates.
  • Develop and execute test plans for critical business processes before releases are deployed to production.
  • Document testing results and coordinate issue resolution with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors.
  • Maintain documentation of system configurations and changes.
  • EDI & Integration Support
  • Monitor inbound and outbound EDI transactions.
  • Research and resolve EDI document errors, including 850, 855, 856, 810, and related transaction sets.
  • Monitor integrations between NetSuite and third-party applications.
  • Troubleshoot failed transactions, data mapping issues, and system integration errors.
  • Coordinate with customers, vendors, trading partners, developers, and service providers to resolve EDI and integration issues.
  • Assist with testing new integrations, trading partners, and system changes.
  • Documentation & Process Improvement
  • Create and maintain system documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and knowledge base articles.
  • Document business processes, workflows, system configurations, and recurring issues.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes, automate manual tasks, and increase system efficiency.
  • Assist with requirements gathering, testing, and validation of new processes and system enhancements.
  • Work with users across departments to understand system needs and identify potential solutions.
  • Required Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of experience supporting ERP systems, business applications, or enterprise systems in a technical or administrative capacity.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting system or application issues and supporting internal users.
  • Experience with ERP administration or configuration such as Saved Searches, reports, dashboards, roles/permissions, workflows, imports, custom fields/forms, or similar functionality.
  • Experience troubleshooting data, transactions, integrations, or information moving between business systems.
  • Ability to research technical issues independently and work with software vendors or development partners when necessary.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work through issues methodically.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on NetSuite administration or application support experience.
  • NetSuite certifications.
  • Experience supporting EDI transactions and trading partners.
  • Familiarity with common EDI transaction sets such as 850, 855, 856, and 810.
  • Experience supporting integrations between ERP systems and third-party applications.
  • Familiarity with APIs, middleware, CSV/file mapping, XML, JSON, SQL, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with warehousing, inventory, shipping, purchasing, order management, or manufacturing operations.
  • Experience with WMS, shipping software, ecommerce platforms, or other enterprise applications.
  • Experience testing ERP releases, software updates, integrations, or system enhancements.
  • Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
