- About the Role
- RCV Technologies LLC DBA ROILIFT is looking for a Business Research Analyst / Intern to support our growing work with local businesses across the United States.
- This is a research-focused role for someone who is naturally curious, comfortable working online, and able to turn information into useful business insights.
- You will research local businesses, study their websites and online presence, understand their market, identify potential opportunities, and organize your findings for our sales and marketing teams.
- This is more than a data-entry role. We are looking for someone who can research carefully, ask the right questions, verify information, and recognize meaningful business opportunities.
- What You'll Do
- Your responsibilities will include:
- Researching local businesses across different U.S. cities, industries, and markets.
- Finding and verifying business information through Google, Google Maps, business websites, directories, social media, and other reliable sources.
- Reviewing company websites and online presence to understand how a business is positioned in its market.
- Researching Google Business Profiles, customer reviews, social media activity, and local visibility.
- Identifying gaps or opportunities in a business's digital presence.
- Conducting basic competitor and local market research.
- Building and maintaining accurate business research and prospect databases.
- Identifying businesses that may benefit from services such as digital marketing, SEO, website development, advertising, or technology solutions.
- Organizing research findings in Google Sheets, Excel, or other internal tools.
- Providing clear notes and observations that can help our sales and marketing teams.
- Verifying information before adding it to company databases.
- Following established research processes while also using your own judgment when something needs further investigation.
- What We're Looking For
- We are not looking for someone who simply knows how to search Google. We want someone who can think while researching.
- The right candidate will:
- Be naturally curious and enjoy learning about businesses.
- Have strong online research skills.
- Be comfortable spending significant time researching and analyzing information.
- Pay close attention to accuracy and detail.
- Know how to distinguish useful information from unreliable or outdated information.
- Be comfortable with Google Search, Google Maps, and online business platforms.
- Have basic working knowledge of Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel.
- Have strong written and spoken English.
- Be organized and able to manage multiple research assignments.
- Be dependable and take ownership of their work.
- Be comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
- Be willing to learn and improve their research skills over time.
- Experience That Would Be Helpful
- Experience in any of the following areas is a plus, but not required:
- Market research
- Business research
- Digital marketing
- Local SEO
- Lead generation
- Sales research
- Competitor analysis
- Google Business Profile research
- CRM or prospect database management
- Website analysis
- Social media research
