Business Intelligence Engineer – Global Hedge Fund

A leading global hedge fund is building out the business intelligence capability within its corporate technology organization, supporting functions across the firm including finance, operations, HR, compliance, and other corporate teams. The team is responsible for delivering the reporting, dashboards, and data products that give business stakeholders visibility into key metrics and drive better operational decision-making. The firm is currently seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer with strong dashboarding expertise to design and deliver high-impact analytics and reporting solutions. This individual will work directly with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into clear, reliable, and visually effective dashboards and reports.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions that provide actionable insight to corporate business stakeholders.
• Work directly with business users across corporate functions to gather requirements and translate them into effective BI deliverables.
• Develop and optimize the underlying data models, queries, and datasets that power reporting and analytics.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across dashboards and reports.
• Partner with data and engineering teams to source, integrate, and model data from a range of systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical, analytical, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience building dashboards and reporting solutions using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar.
• Strong SQL skills and a solid understanding of data modeling for analytics and reporting.
• Ability to translate business requirements into clear, well-designed, and reliable BI deliverables.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on data quality and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work directly with non-technical business stakeholders.
