About the Opportunity:

The BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST role focuses on improving data governance and quality within the naval supply data ecosystem. This position is responsible for profiling prioritized datasets, defining business meanings and quality rules, validating data lineage, and ensuring data accuracy and reconciliation across systems. The analyst contributes by enabling the organization to have trusted, well-documented data assets that support mission-critical operations and data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Support configuration and use of data cataloging and governance tools in production and pre-production.
• Profile datasets and develop data quality rules, scorecards, baselines, and improvement reports.
• Analyze data quality issues, document root causes, remediation actions, and support retesting.
• Support automated metadata harvesting and scheduled scans across ETL applications.
• Validate metadata completeness, source-to-target lineage, and system linkages.
• Develop and maintain business glossaries, data domains, and stewardship workflows.
• Define governance policies, access expectations, and quality measures with data owners and stewards.
• Develop and execute test cases for data integration and quality validation; document evidence for auditability.
• Create governance and data quality dashboards for ongoing monitoring.
• Maintain procedures, training materials, and knowledge-transfer content.
• Participate in Agile planning, sprint reviews, and stakeholder sessions.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of Power BI experience.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience with data profiling, quality rules, metadata, lineage, glossaries, catalogs, or governance.
• Working knowledge of relational data, SQL, data warehouses, and ETL.
• Ability to analyze data issues, define quality criteria, document evidence, and communicate findings.
• Experience collaborating with data owners, stewards, analysts, developers, or administrators.
• Strong documentation, communication, testing, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work within specialized Informatica and Navy technology environments.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to complete required Navy onboarding, background investigation, and security requirements.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, information systems, computer science, statistics, business, or related field.

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
