Main Purpose of the Role:

  • The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing
  • enterprise reporting and analytics solutions that enable data-driven decision making across
  • Bioventus. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, IT, Supply Chain, Customer
  • Experience, Finance, and Operations to design scalable reporting solutions, improve data
  • quality, and support business intelligence initiatives.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong Power BI development experience, advanced analytical
  • skills, and the ability to transform complex business requirements into meaningful dashboards,
  • reports, and actionable insights. This contractor will also support ongoing enterprise initiatives
  • involving master data management, reporting automation, and AI-enabled business processes.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and KPI scorecards
  • supporting enterprise business functions.
  • Partner with Product Owners, business leaders, and functional stakeholders to gather
  • reporting requirements and translate business needs into scalable BI solutions.
  • Develop and optimize data models using Power BI, SQL, and enterprise data sources to
  • ensure reporting accuracy and performance.
  • Connect, cleanse, transform, and integrate data from multiple enterprise systems including
  • ERP platforms, data warehouses, and cloud-based applications.
  • Develop enterprise reporting solutions that support Supply Chain, Customer Experience,
  • Operations, Finance, Manufacturing, and Master Data Management initiatives.
  • Support enterprise AI and automation initiatives by creating reporting structures and
  • analytics that improve operational decision making.
  • Perform root cause analysis on reporting discrepancies, data quality issues, and dashboard
  • performance concerns.
  • Implement Row-Level Security (RLS), data governance standards, and reporting security
  • best practices.
  • Maintain documentation including business requirements, data mappings, report
  • specifications, and solution architecture.
  • Contribute to enterprise reporting standards, BI governance, and continuous improvement
  • initiatives.
  • Support testing, validation, deployment, and user adoption of new reporting capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reporting efficiency, automate manual
  • processes, and identify opportunities for enhanced analytics.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data
  • Analytics, or related field preferred.
  • • 5+ years of experience developing enterprise reporting solutions using Microsoft Power
  • BI.
  • • Advanced Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and DAX experience.
  • • Strong SQL development and database querying skills.
  • • Experience with relational databases, data warehouses, and enterprise reporting
  • environments.
  • • Experience creating interactive dashboards, executive scorecards, and operational
  • reporting.
  • • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL concepts, and business intelligence best
  • practices.
  • • Experience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) and Power BI security models.
  • • Experience integrating Power BI with APIs, embedded analytics, and Microsoft Azure
  • environments.
  • • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to business
  • stakeholders.
