Role Description The Business Intelligence Analyst is a full-time, hybrid role based in Worcester, MA, with flexibility for partial work from home. This role is responsible for gathering and analyzing business data, translating requirements into actionable insights, and developing BI solutions that support strategic and operational decisions. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with stakeholders to understand their information needs, designing and maintaining dashboards and reports, and performing data modeling to ensure accurate, consistent metrics. The Business Intelligence Analyst will work with BI tools to integrate data from multiple sources, validate data quality, and deliver clear visualizations and narratives. The role also involves identifying trends, monitoring key performance indicators, and recommending improvements to business processes and data practices.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and translate findings into clear business recommendations.
Proficiency in data modeling and working with relational databases or data warehouses to design structured, scalable data models.
Hands-on experience building and maintaining dashboards and reports that present information in a clear, accessible, and actionable way.
Practical knowledge of business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar) for data visualization and reporting.
Experience in business analysis, including requirements gathering, documentation, and partnering with stakeholders across functions.
Solid skills in SQL and comfort working with large datasets; exposure to scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
Understanding of ETL processes, data integration, and data quality best practices.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and collaborate in cross-functional teams.
Experience in a technology, consulting, or software development environment is beneficial; familiarity with agile or iterative delivery methods is a plus.
