  • Shift / Schedule: Monday–Friday, core business hours – 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day

  • Job Summary
  • This role supports a project focused on the migration of a Home Equity Mortgage retail reporting platform from SQL Server to an Oracle data warehouse (Enterprise Data Warehouse / Risk & Regulatory Data Warehouse). The contractor will be substantially involved in database and data warehouse testing, including field-to-field testing, writing and executing test cases, and data issue triage — working to identify where data fails, document findings, and collaborate with the technical team to resolve issues. A secondary responsibility involves requirements gathering for report specifications as the platform is built out. The team is cross-organizational, consisting of approximately 20 people, and the contractor will interact primarily with internal TD stakeholders. The contractor will have access to customer data, and the role involves Regulation Z considerations.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Support migration of Home Equity Mortgage reporting application (SQL Server) into the Enterprise Data Warehouse (Risk & Regulatory Data Warehouse)
  • Perform database and data warehouse testing, including field-to-field testing
  • Read specifications and execute testing accordingly
  • Write, create, and execute test cases and test plans
  • Perform data issues triage — identify where data fails, document findings, and work with the technical team to resolve issues
  • Support requirements gathering for report specifications as they are built out
  • Spend approximately 20% of the day in meetings with internal TD stakeholders
  • Required Skills
  • Strong SQL coding skills (Oracle); 8 years of SQL coding experience (SQL Server, Oracle)
  • Base SQL querying on Oracle DB (not procedural PL/SQL)
  • Executing and creating test cases and test plans
  • Previous banking or financial institution experience
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Self-motivated, well organized, able to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Attention to detail; self-starter and adaptable
  • Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of retail lending products and data — mortgages, home equity, unsecured lending, credit cards, auto finance
  • Power BI experience

  • 8–10 years of overall experience
  • 8 years of SQL coding experience (SQL Server, Oracle)
  • Experience with database and data warehouse testing, including field-to-field testing
  • Banking or financial institution experience

  • Power BI experience

  • 100% remote position
