  • The Opportunity
  • TP.ai Data Services enables the development of next-generation AI systems by providing high-quality data solutions that fuel machine learning, generative AI, and advanced analytics at global scale. We partner with Fortune 100 technology leaders to deliver multi-modal datasets, labeling/annotation, data orchestration, model evaluation, and RLHF (Reinforcement Learning with Human Feedback) to power trustworthy, high-performing AI solutions.

The Business Development Lead is responsible for driving new business growth across TP.ai’s AI Data Services business. This role requires deep understanding of AI/ML data workflows, enterprise data needs, data labeling/annotation pipelines, RLHF and evaluation, AI operations, and trust & safety processes. You will own the full sales cycle, build C-suite relationships, and craft scalable solutions that meet complex technical and operational requirements.

  • The Responsibilities
  • Drive end-to-end sales for AI/ML data services including data annotation, multimodal labeling, speech/audio/text datasets, RLHF, evaluation, data engineering, and model operations.
  • Translate client AI/ML requirements into solution proposals, pricing models, delivery plans, and SOWs.
  • Lead complex enterprise sales cycles involving technical, operations, procurement, legal, and product stakeholders.
  • Create and execute GTM strategies for priority verticals (Tech, Automotive, Healthcare AI, Autonomous Systems, Retail, etc.).
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities across new logos and existing enterprise accounts.
  • Drive consistent revenue growth through targeted outreach, account penetration, and expansion opportunities.
  • Partner with marketing to develop targeted campaigns for AI/ML prospects.
  • Cultivate and manage senior-level relationships with CDOs, Heads of AI/ML, AI Safety teams, Data Science leaders, Trust & Safety executives, and Procurement.
  • Serve as the strategic point of contact throughout evaluation, onboarding, contracting, and delivery.
  • Ensure high client satisfaction by collaborating closely with Delivery, Operations, and Solutions teams.
  • Work closely with Solutions Architects, Data Scientists, and Operations leaders to design technically sound and operationally scalable solutions.
  • Lead RFP/RFI responses with strong positioning against competitors.
  • Partner with Finance and Pricing teams to build competitive, margin-accretive commercial structures.
  • Deliver clear business cases, ROI models, and value-based pitches to enterprise stakeholders.
  • Track market trends across generative AI, foundation model training, evaluation, and safety.
  • Analyze competitor offerings (i.e. Scale AI, Labelbox, TaskUs, Appen, Sama) and position TP.ai differentiators.
  • Provide leadership with insights to shape product strategy and capability investments.
  • The Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise B2B sales, with at least 3–5 years in AI Data Services, AI/ML operations, data labeling, model evaluation, or Trust & Safety services.
  • Proven track record of closing multi-million-dollar deals with Tech, AI platform, or digital-native enterprises.
  • Deep understanding of:
  • Data annotation workflows (image, video, NLP, multimodal)
  • RLHF, evaluation, and safety alignment processes
  • Data quality metrics, sampling design, and error analysis
  • Data engineering, data pipelines, and labeling platforms
  • LLM lifecycle and AI training datasets
  • Strong experience managing senior client relationships with technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex RFPs, negotiate MSAs/SOWs, and manage long enterprise sales cycles.
  • Skilled in prospecting, pipeline growth, outbound engagement, and building executive-level pitch narratives.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce required) and sales forecasting.

Preferred

  • Experience working at or selling to leading AI companies, hyperscalers, or high-growth tech platforms.
  • Background in BPO/ITO, data operations, or AI safety workflows.
  • MBA or equivalent business/technical graduate degree.
