Job Details
Position Title: Business Data Analyst - Tuition and Fees
Status: Full Time Support
Hours: 35 hours per week
Faculty/Department: Office of the Registrar
Campus/Location: North Campus. This is a hybrid position - the successful applicant must be comfortable working on-site at minimum four (4) days per week.
Salary: Payband H; Salary Range: $37.34 to $43.18; Starting Salary: $37.34
Progression through the payband is in accordance with the increments in the payband as outline in the Full-Time Support Staff Collective Agreement based on actual service in the payband.

About The Business Data Analyst – Tuition And Fees Role
Reporting to the Associate Registrar, Student Financial Services, the Business Data Analyst - Tuition and Fees works closely with all academic faculties and many non-academic departments to establish processes and complete transactions as they relate to the establishment of student tuition, related incidental fees and all other fees collected through the Office of the Registrar in the Banner Student system. This requires the incumbent to understand and interpret Ministry policy related to tuition and fees; have a comprehensive understanding of accounts receivable practices; maintain and ensure accuracy of the Banner tuition and fee tables; and process fees related to student accounts and the collection of student account receivables.
Under the guidance of the Associate Registrar, the incumbent will work independently and is required to make decisions that can impact student finances, academic faculties and department processes and ultimately the College’s financial position. The Business Data Analyst - Tuition and Fees is required to work college wide to collect and maintain reports and documents such as the Master Humber College Fee Document, to produce a stable, clear and transparent fee environment. The incumbent is expected to collaborate frequently with the Data Management & Reporting Analyst, the Records and Registration Coordinators and Financial Services to resolve any issues as they relate to fees, the enrollment and financial audits effecting, student records and registration.

Education
4-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the following fields of study: Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, Computer Science or related program of study, and is working towards an accounting designation, in the final levels of certification for: CGA, CM, CA or CPA.
Experience/Skills
- A minimum of 3 years' related work experience working in student fee collection or accounting.
- Strong knowledge of financial statements, receipts, payments, general accounting procedures and internal controls;
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
- Superior communication skills with the ability to explain complex processes;
- Sound understanding of the post-secondary system;
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel;
- Demonstrated proficiency in student information systems, especially relational databases;
- Ability to work in a highly automated environment Leadership skills and the ability to work independently;
- Ability to guide and motivate a team.
