- Our client is seeking three (3) motivated and analytical professionals to join the WE Squad / Finance Data Process Optimization Team on a 12-month contract. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving business problems, improving processes, working with data, and leveraging technology to drive efficiency.
- You will operate at the intersection of process improvement, data analytics, reporting, and low-code automation, with a particular focus on delivering business solutions using Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
- We are looking for a well-rounded individual who can understand business challenges, identify improvement opportunities, and deliver practical solutions through process redesign, analytics, reporting, and Microsoft Power Platform.
- As part of this mandate, you will contribute to an exciting Finance Data Modernization journey focused on improving how data is sourced, governed, managed, and consumed across Finance.
- This transformation will create a stronger foundation for reporting, analytics, automation, AI enablement, and data-driven decision-making while helping reduce operational complexity and increase organizational agility.
Responsibilities
- Low-Code Automation & Technology
- Design, build, and support simple business solutions using Power Apps and Power Automate
- Identify manual processes and develop automation opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk
- Create and enhance workflows for business processes, approvals, data collection, and reporting
- Support maintenance, enhancements, and issue resolution for existing Power Platform solutions
- Collaborate with business users to understand needs and deliver practical automation solutions
- Process Improvement & Optimization
- Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for simplification, standardization, and automation
- Document current-state and future-state workflows
- Perform root cause analysis to identify process inefficiencies, pain points, and operational risks
- Recommend and support implementation of process improvements
- Contribute to continuous improvement and transformation initiatives
- Data & Analytics
- Analyze business and operational data to identify trends, risks, exceptions, and opportunities
- Design and develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI and related tools
- Define, document, and track business KPIs and performance metrics
- Translate business questions into meaningful metrics and actionable insights
- Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting and analytical needs
- Data Management & Stakeholder Engagement
- Understand and document data flows across business processes and systems
- Support data mapping, data flow documentation, and reporting requirements
- Assist with basic data modelling and reporting design activities
- Partner with Finance, Operations, Data, and Technology teams
- Facilitate discussions to understand business challenges and solution requirements
- Communicate findings, options, and recommendations clearly
- Support adoption of new processes, reporting solutions, automations, and ways of working
- Required Skillsets
- Power Platform: Hands-on experience building solutions with Power Apps and/or Power Automate
- Data & Reporting: Experience developing reports, dashboards, KPIs, performance metrics, or analytical insights
- Query & Scripting: SQL proficiency; Python exposure preferred
- Analytics Tools: Power BI development and dashboard design
- Process Thinking: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process-thinking skills
- Communication: Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to engage both business and technical audiences
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively across business and technical teams
- Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs
- Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy and quality focus
- Continuous Improvement: Mindset for identifying and implementing process enhancements
- Preferred Skillsets
- SharePoint, Dataverse, Microsoft Lists, or related Microsoft 365 technologies
- Understanding of data flows, data mapping, and basic data modelling concepts
- Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies
- Experience documenting processes, workflows, business rules, or operational procedures
- Exposure to VBA, Python, or Alteryx
- Financial services or FinTech experience
- Tableau, SAS, or ETO work experience
- Azure familiarity
