About the Role

Gemspring Capital is seeking a Business Analyst to support strategic and transformational projects across the firm. Working directly with the VP, Strategy & Research, you will use AI tools to improve business processes, build automated workflows, and develop software applications that address operational needs.

This is an opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain exposure to private equity, firm operations, and the Microsoft ecosystem, particularly Microsoft Azure. The role involves working with stakeholders across multiple departments and contributing to both ongoing initiatives and ad hoc strategic projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, build, test, implement, and maintain software applications and workflows using AI tools to automate business processes.

• Work with teams across investment, research, business development, finance, IT, HR, investor relations, legal and compliance, and capital markets.

• Gain practical exposure to private equity operations and the Microsoft ecosystem, particularly Microsoft Azure.

• Support the execution of ad hoc strategic and transformational projects across the firm.

Required Qualifications

• Recent graduate with 0–3 years of work experience.

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a closely related quantitative field.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think logically and work through complex or ambiguous situations.

• Demonstrated interest in AI.

• Self-motivated, hardworking, and committed to continuous learning and improvement.

• Strong curiosity and an interest in solving complex problems and puzzles.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

• Interest in investing and financial services.

• Must be able to commute to and work in the Westport, Connecticut office five days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with the Microsoft ecosystem, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Azure.

• Prior work, internship, academic, or project experience in investing or financial services.

• Experience with programming languages or coding.

• Experience using AI tools.
