Overview

  • TekBank is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the Florida Department of Transportation's Office of Information Technology. This role serves as a Demand Analyst responsible for partnering with business offices and IT teams to evaluate, document, and refine technology proposals from initial intake through governance review and project approval.
  • The selected candidate will work closely with stakeholders to assess business needs, develop business cases, facilitate proposal intake activities, document requirements, perform impact analyses, and support decision-making processes that align technology investments with organizational objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison between business offices and IT teams throughout the proposal lifecycle
  • Conduct intake meetings and gather high-level business requirements
  • Refine and document technology proposals within ServiceNow
  • Categorize and prioritize technology proposals based on:
  • Business impact
  • Strategic alignment
  • Complexity
  • Urgency
  • Feasibility
  • Perform business process analysis and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Research and document business processes, workflows, and system dependencies
  • Develop business cases, including:
  • ROI analysis
  • TCO analysis
  • Cost-benefit assessments
  • Risk summaries
  • Conduct impact analyses and evaluate proposal feasibility
  • Document business objectives, scope, assumptions, constraints, and risks
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable requirements
  • Prepare executive-level presentations and proposal documentation
  • Support governance reviews and funding decisions
  • Track proposal progress and maintain proposal documentation throughout the lifecycle
  • Assist with cybersecurity risk assessment activities when required
  • Research emerging technologies and recommend potential solutions
  • Support proposal lifecycle management and governance processes
  • Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in:
  • Business process analysis
  • Requirements gathering
  • Requirements documentation
  • Stakeholder facilitation
  • Experience independently facilitating meetings with:
  • Executives
  • Business stakeholders
  • Subject matter experts
  • Experience developing:
  • Business cases
  • Functional specifications
  • Requirements documentation
  • Process documentation
  • Experience performing process mapping and modeling using Visio
  • Experience using:
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Microsoft Visio
  • Experience using SharePoint and Microsoft Teams
  • Strong understanding of how business requirements translate into technical requirements
  • Experience preparing:
  • ROI analyses

  • Education
  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in:
  • Business Administration
  • Communications
  • Information Systems
  • Related field
  • Equivalent professional experience may substitute for educational requirements
