The Workday Business Analyst will support the administration, configuration, enhancement, and ongoing maintenance of the Workday Financial Management platform. This position will work closely with Finance, Accounting, IT, and other business stakeholders to support financial processes, improve system functionality, and ensure accurate and efficient use of Workday. The role will participate in system implementations, enhancements, testing, reporting, integrations, and production support.

Responsibilities

  • Support the administration, configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of the Workday Financial Management platform.
  • Provide functional support across Workday Financials, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Expenses, Assets, Banking, Projects, and Budgeting.
  • Gather business requirements and translate Finance and Accounting needs into effective Workday solutions, workflows, approvals, validations, and configurations.
  • Participate in Workday Financials implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and optimization projects.
  • Support the full project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
  • Develop and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, calculated fields, and other reporting solutions.
  • Support Workday integrations, EIBs, data conversions, reconciliations, and system interfaces.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with internal teams, business users, and external consultants to resolve system issues.
  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, IT, and other stakeholders to identify process improvements and recommend system solutions.
  • Support user acceptance testing, system releases, documentation, training, and ongoing end-user support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting financial systems
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting Workday Financials.
  • Experience participating in at least one Workday Financials implementation
  • Strong understanding of financial management processes
  • Experience gathering business requirements, configuring solutions, testing, troubleshooting, and supporting production environments.
  • Experience with Workday reporting
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively with Finance, Accounting, IT, and other cross-functional stakeholders and communicate with both technical and non-technical users.
  • Workday Financials certification required
