About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Business Systems Analyst to join our U.S. remote team for an initial six-month assignment, with a strong possibility of extension. This role is integral to a large-scale data governance and cleanup initiative focused on managing data throughout its lifecycle, including identification, staging, and deletion within a structured, tool-driven environment. The successful candidate will support the implementation of data lifecycle processes, ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a strategic project that is part of a long-term program with future phases, contributing significantly to our clients' data integrity and governance objectives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting data cleanup, data governance, information lifecycle management (ILM), or audit/compliance processes
• 5+ years of experience with data analysis and problem-solving
• 5+ years of working with large datasets and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, handling large datasets)
• Strong data organization and documentation skills
• Exposure to GCP, SQL, or reporting tools (preferred)
• Experience with dashboarding or data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Data Studio (preferred)
• Familiarity with Jira or agile project management environments (preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or related discipline (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Execute structured data cleanup and deletion workflows to ensure data integrity and compliance
• Analyze datasets to identify stale, redundant, or non-compliant data points
• Document all actions taken for compliance and audit purposes, maintaining detailed records
• Support KPI reporting efforts by ensuring data accuracy and consistency
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external vendors, utilizing training provided to optimize data management processes
• Assist in developing and maintaining data governance policies and procedures
• Participate in project meetings and provide insights on data lifecycle management strategies
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to data quality and compliance standards
