About The Role
We are seeking a Staff Business Systems Analyst, People Systems (HR Technology) to serve as a strategic partner within our organization. In this role, you will lead the evolution of our HR technology stack, acting as the primary business technology liaison for the People Team. Your responsibilities will encompass analyzing, designing, and implementing solutions across our core HR platforms, including HRIS, ATS, learning management systems, and related connected systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and HR leadership, to optimize HR processes, automate workflows, and ensure data integrity for effective decision-making.
This is a remote US-based position, with a preference for candidates located in New York, Boston, or within the EST time zone. As a senior individual contributor, you will have high ownership, broad impact across multiple functions, and hands-on responsibilities from project initiation to post-launch support. Your expertise will help streamline HR operations, improve employee and manager experiences, and ensure compliance with security and privacy standards.
Qualifications
- 9+ years of experience in IT Business Systems, People Systems, or HR Technology roles with significant stakeholder management and project delivery experience.
- Deep hands-on experience configuring at least one modern HRIS platform (e.g., Workday, Rippling).
- Proficiency with ATS platforms such as Greenhouse or Workable.
- Strong understanding of HR processes, including recruiting, onboarding, performance management, compensation, and hire-to-retire workflows.
- Proven ability to lead end-to-end system projects from requirements gathering to post-launch support.
- Strong API knowledge and experience with integration patterns, partnering effectively with architects and engineers.
- Excellent communication skills tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences, including HR leaders and IT teams.
- Experience supporting HR systems in multi-country environments, with familiarity with GDPR and regional compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead and administrator of the core People Systems multi-system technology stack, supporting global HR operations.
- Analyze existing HR processes and recommend redesigns to automate workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve efficiency.
- Lead complex HR systems projects, from problem framing to implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
- Partner with IT teams to support integrations between HR systems and downstream platforms, ensuring high data quality and consistency.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including use cases, data flows, and process diagrams in Confluence.
- Collaborate with Security, Privacy, and IT teams to ensure compliance, security, and governance of HR systems, including access controls and audits.
- Build and maintain project backlogs, track ongoing initiatives, and develop system roadmaps aligned with company priorities.
- Support ongoing system enhancements, testing, and user acceptance activities to ensure successful rollouts.
