- About The Role
- The Principal Business Systems Analyst plays a pivotal role in creating and delivering strategic data assets that support enterprise-wide use cases. This position involves collaborating closely with stakeholders, data engineering teams, and business units to define data models, architecture, and source data mappings. The successful candidate will analyze and refine business requirements, ensuring the development of interoperable, secure, and compliant data systems aligned with organizational goals. This role requires a deep understanding of healthcare data, data governance, and modern data tools and technologies. The Principal Business Systems Analyst will also provide technical support for systems built with a data-centric approach, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that facilitate data-driven decision-making across the enterprise. Telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S. is available, providing flexibility to the right candidate.
- Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in business systems analysis or related roles
- Experience in project management and collaboration tools such as MS Project, SharePoint, Confluence, Aha!, or Rally
- Proficiency with tools including MS Office, Postman, Power Automate, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Miro, Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake, or Informatica
- Technical expertise in SQL and Python programming languages
- Deep healthcare domain knowledge, including claims processing, provider data, and multi-asset experience
- Strong data modeling and data governance skills
- Experience working within Agile Scrum methodologies
- Knowledge of API integration and interoperability standards
- Responsibilities
- Create and deliver strategic data assets to support enterprise use cases and business initiatives
- Collaborate with stakeholders and data engineering teams to define and implement data models and architecture
- Analyze and refine business requirements related to source data mapping and asset modeling
- Provide technical support for systems developed with a focus on data integrity, security, and compliance
- Ensure data solutions adhere to privacy, security, and regulatory standards such as HIPAA and other applicable regulations
- Maintain a clear product vision and prioritize requirements to deliver high-quality, impactful solutions
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure data interoperability and cohesion across systems
- Utilize data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI and Tableau to communicate insights effectively
- Participate in Agile Scrum processes, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
- Support API integrations and ensure seamless data exchange between systems
