Business Analyst – Pricing Systems (Capital Markets)
Location: Irvine, CA
Responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for pricing and valuation systems.
Work with traders, portfolio managers, risk teams, operations, and technology teams to define system enhancements.
Translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories.
Support the implementation and testing of pricing models and valuation workflows.
Perform gap analysis, impact analysis, and process mapping.
Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate system changes.
Investigate production issues and work with development teams to resolve them.
Ensure pricing data quality and compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
Prepare reports, documentation, and stakeholder presentations.
Required Skills
5+ years of Business Analyst experience in Capital Markets.
Strong understanding of pricing and valuation concepts for financial instruments.
Knowledge of fixed income, equities, derivatives, or structured products.
Experience writing business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
SQL for data analysis and validation.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of market data providers such as Bloomberg or Refinitiv.
Experience with pricing engines and valuation platforms.
Familiarity with risk management concepts.
Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Excel.
Basic understanding of APIs and system integrations.
