Business Analyst - Payments

Iris's Direct client, a highly diversified financial services provider based in Canada is looking to hire a BSA – Payments for a Long Term Contract opportunity.

Location: Hybrid in Toronto – 4 days in office

Job Description/Skills Required :

• Strong hands-on knowledge of ISO 20022 payments message categories and structures (pacs, pain, camt, acmt).
• Experience on payments systems such as Wires, SWIFT, RTP, ACH, Cross-Border payments, or Real-Time payments.
• Strong expertise in mapping payments data between legacy formats (MT101, MT103, MT199 etc.) and ISO 20022 message schema.
• Experience creating BRD, FRD, Interface Specifications, Data Mapping documents, and traceability matrices.
• Strong understanding of payments lifecycle—initiation, authorization, settlement, returns, and reconciliation.
• Experience working with XML formats, schemas, and payment validation rules.
• Ability to collaborate with technology teams and functional SMEs, clarify ambiguities, and drive resolution.
