Business Analyst

• Title: Business Analyst
• Duration: 6 to 12+ Months with possible extensions
• Location: 100% Remote (Some occasional onsite work and presence in the meetings at Oklahoma City, OK)

Requirements:

• Engage with business units to understand operational workflows, pain points, and improvement opportunities.
• Interface with technical resources, such as Development or IT staff, to understand and translate technical requirements.
• Document current state processes using clear, structured methods such as process maps, swimlane diagrams, and workflow charts.
• Facilitate discussions to define future state processes aligned with organizational goals. Requirements Gathering and User Story Development
• Translate business needs into detailed functional requirements, acceptance criteria, and Azure DevOps work items/user stories.
• Ensure requirements are complete, consistent, testable, and aligned with business priorities.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to refine and validate requirements. Testing and Quality Assurance
• Develop test plans, test scripts, and step-by-step testing instructions for functional and user acceptance testing.
• Execute functional testing of user stories in Development and Test environments to validate solution accuracy and readiness.
• Document defects, track resolution progress, and verify fixes.
• Coordinate, support, or lead user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions with business stakeholders. Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication
• Serve as a liaison between business units and technical teams to ensure shared understanding and alignment.
• Communicate project updates, risks, and issues clearly and proactively.
• Support change management activities by contributing to training materials, documentation, and user guidance.
