  • Job Summary
  • Business Analyst acts as a liaison between Information Systems and divisional stakeholders to maintain, enhance, and integrate firm systems and data.
  • You will proactively identify enterprise technology opportunities and support formal project teams implementing new systems, data capabilities, and Salesforce-enabled business processes.
  • You will translate complex business requirements into actionable specifications for data, development, and technology teams.
  • You will also support the analysis and improvement of Salesforce processes, workflows, reporting, data, and integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of how enterprise systems—including Salesforce and related applications—interact with one another and impact firm operations and initiatives.
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve business processes, Salesforce workflows, system functionality, data usage, and operational efficiency.
  • Map data structures and elements to business processes, including Salesforce objects, relationships, and data flows, ensuring accurate documentation of data usage.
  • Design and implement functional systems and structured data processes in collaboration with data, application, development, and Salesforce teams.
  • Create and maintain business process models, data flow diagrams, prototypes, business requirements, use cases, user stories, and test cases.
  • Gather and document requirements for Salesforce enhancements, reporting, integrations, data quality, and process improvements.
  • Analyze the lifecycle of financial transactions, including checks, wires, and ACH payments, by tracking data generation, transformation, and consumption across systems.
  • Evaluate how Salesforce and other enterprise platforms support business processes, reporting needs, data management, and stakeholder requirements.
  • Gain proficiency in data ingestion tools, such as Qlik Replicate, and streaming platforms, such as Kafka.
  • Execute and present written and verbal business systems impact analyses that identify high-impact technology solutions.
  • Support Salesforce and broader enterprise system testing, issue resolution, implementation, and post-implementation activities.
  • Partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders to communicate requirements, system impacts, data relationships, and proposed solutions.
  • Assist in applying Business Systems Analyst principles and practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience designing and implementing functional systems, business processes, or structured data solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; emphasis in Computer Science or Management Information Systems preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience gathering, documenting, analyzing, and validating business and system requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to understand business processes, system dependencies, data relationships, and integration points.
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working with Salesforce or other CRM platforms is highly desirable.

Preferred

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a data-intensive or enterprise systems environment.
  • Experience supporting Salesforce-related initiatives, including CRM workflows, process improvements, reporting, data management, integrations, or system enhancements.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce capabilities (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Salesforce objects, reports, dashboards, and workflow automation).
  • Ability to translate business needs into Salesforce requirements related to process, configuration, reporting, data, or integrations.
  • Ability to create new business processes and data usage models that promote efficiency.
