- Position Summary
- LRS Consulting Services is seeking a Business Analyst for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Dallas, TX. This role translates business requirements into scalable data solutions, builds and maintains reporting dashboards, and automates manual processes to improve accuracy and efficiency. The analyst will serve as a liaison between business leadership and technical teams, turning operational needs into actionable data models, ETL logic, and reporting outputs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- • Act as a liaison between technical teams and the business users, including managing communications between business stakeholders and technical teams to enhance understanding of desired scope, requirements and assist project delivery teams in implementing accurate solutions.
- • Partner with business users to establish data definitions, reporting definitions, KPI, and analytics that answer a business question.
- • Gather business requirements for the project.
- • Drive proactive & transparent communications with key stakeholders related to project scope and related assumptions to properly set and manage expectations.
- • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to create clear requirements, specifications, and documentation.
- • Ability to do data research to identify the data quality issues.
- • Strong time management & prioritization skills.
- • Able to meet deliverables with high level of accuracy.
Education, Skills & Experience:
- • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent from four-year college or university.
- • 2-5 years’ experience as a business analyst.
- • Hands-on experience with requirements gathering workshop facilitation and interviewing stakeholders to gather project requirements.
- • Proven experience establishing relationships with internal stakeholders.
- • Excellent communication and writing skills.
- • Extensive experience with Agile methodologies. Lead and facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- • Experience in collaboration tools, project management tools and workflow tools.
- • Ability to work with local and remote teams.
- • SQL Skills
- • Familiarity with financial services or capital markets industry preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Python scripting experience for data automation and ETL (Pandas, SQLAlchemy, openpyxl)
- Experience with Power Automate for scheduling and workflow automation
- Familiarity with Cognos or other enterprise reporting tools
- Experience with DAX expressions and Power BI data modeling
