  • About the Opportunity
  • Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst V to join their Governance, Risk, and Controls team. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with strong Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with significant stakeholder interaction across operations, front office, and risk teams.
  • The successful candidate will play a key role in assessing operational risks, documenting controls, conducting testing activities, and supporting business process improvements within a wholesale banking environment.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of Value Chain (VC), Assessable Unit (AU), and Unique Business Process (UBP) inventories.
  • Assess multiple business processes concurrently and identify risks, controls, process gaps, and inventory gaps.
  • Support the execution and maintenance of Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs).
  • Engage stakeholders and risk partners throughout the RCSA lifecycle.
  • Create and maintain process maps and documentation.
  • Perform testing of key controls using established methodologies and timelines.
  • Analyze, document, and track control exceptions through resolution.
  • Support remediation planning and root cause analysis for identified control gaps.
  • Assist in the assessment and monitoring of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiencies, and testing approaches.
  • Participate in ad hoc risk and control initiatives as required.
  • Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Drafting process maps and documentation.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to assess process risks and controls.
  • Reviewing operational procedures to identify risks and control gaps.
  • Conducting control testing and reporting findings.
  • Supporting governance, risk management, and operational control activities.
  • Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated end-to-end Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of governance, risk, and control frameworks, procedures, and methodologies.
  • Prior audit and/or quality control testing experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and data analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong analytical, research, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in wholesale banking or wholesale operations environments.
  • Exposure to derivatives operations.
  • Experience interacting with traders, operations teams, and front-office stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of ARIS or similar process-mapping tools.
