Our client is a top financial institution with significant North American holdings. They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private clients, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking.

Introduction:

Robertson is seeking a skilled Business Analyst - IT I to join our client in support of an existing vacancy.

• Contract Period: 6 months with potential to extend
• Pay Rate: Starting from $30 per hour
• Location: Remote
• Location Type: Remote
• Business Hours: Monday-Friday, Core Business Hours

Job Responsibilities:

• Analyze and document business processes related to operational risk, including risk identification, assessment, and mitigation
• Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, define, and document business and functional requirements for Risk IT initiatives
• Develop clear and comprehensive business requirement documents (BRDs) and functional specifications to support system enhancements and risk reporting
• Apply relational data concepts to support source-to-target data mapping and document data flows for enterprise data lake ingestion and reporting solutions
• Partner with Agile teams to support delivery of risk-related solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and timelines
• Conduct gap analysis and exploratory data analysis to identify improvement opportunities and inform solution design

Experience & Qualification Requirements:

• Bachelors in information technology degree required
• 2 years of IT Business Analyst experience required
• Demonstrated ability to translate business and technical requirements into clear documentation, including business requirement documents (BRDs), process flows, and data mappings
• Solid understanding of Agile delivery methodologies, with experience using tools such as Jira and working within Scrum teams
• Strong SQL proficiency and data analysis skills
• Working knowledge of enterprise data lake architectures and cloud-based data platforms
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience with RSA Archer or similar GRC platforms
• Certifications in Agile methodologies, business analysis, or risk management
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks related to operational risk (e.g., Basel, OSFI guidelines)
• Experience with data visualization and reporting tools, such as Power BI or Tableau
• Familiarity with Azure data platforms and services, including Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Databricks
• Experience with Microsoft Azure
• Experience with Jira
• Experience with Archer (Nice to Have)
• Experience with business requirements
• Experience with SQL
• Experience with data visualization and reporting tools, such as Power BI or Tableau
• Agile and Azure Data Lake is an asset
