  • Role Description
  • This is a part-time, remote Business Analyst role. The Business Analyst will gather and analyze business requirements to support product development and advisory projects, with a focus on market intelligence related to Indigenous participation in energy and resources. Daily responsibilities include mapping and improving business processes, synthesizing data and research into actionable insights, and preparing clear documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional team members, supporting the design of analytical frameworks, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the platform’s tools and services.

Qualifications

  • Strong Analytical Skills and Business Analysis capabilities to interpret data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
  • Experience defining Business Requirements and translating them into clear documentation, user stories, and process flows.
  • Knowledge of Business Process design and improvement, including mapping workflows and recommending efficiencies.
  • Effective Communication skills, including the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise, and accessible manner.
  • Experience or interest in Indigenous economic participation, energy and resource sectors, or impact-focused research is an asset.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, BI tools) and collaborative platforms used in remote work environments.
  • Post-secondary education in business, economics, data analysis, public policy, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to work independently, manage part-time hours effectively, and collaborate with a distributed, multidisciplinary team.
