- Senior Business Analyst
- Contract
- Onsite - Calgary , AB
- will act as a key bridge between business stakeholders, product owners, UX, architecture, and delivery teams to define, analyze, and validate requirements for the Digital Command Center (DCC), enabling data-driven decision making.
- Experience
- 8–12+ years of Business Analysis experience.
- Experience in digital transformation, customer-facing platforms, or enterprise application implementations.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
- Retail, Energy, or Oil & Gas domain experience preferred.
- Experience with reporting, analytics, and Power BI or similar platforms.
- Key Responsibilities
- Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
- Conduct stakeholder workshops, discovery sessions, and requirement reviews.
- Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and business rules.
- Perform current-state, future-state, and gap analysis.
- Collaborate with UX, architects, and development teams to align requirements and solution design.
- Support backlog prioritization, sprint planning, UAT, and business validation.
- Define reporting requirements, KPIs, and dashboard solutions (e.g., Power BI).
- Maintain end-to-end traceability of requirements and project deliverables.
- Lead complex requirement workshops and drive alignment across business and technology stakeholders.
- Leverage tools and technologies (including AI-assisted solutions) to enhance requirements quality, accelerate analysis, and improve stakeholder deliverables.
- Required Skills
- Strong business analysis, process mapping, and requirements management skills.
- Experience with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working with data-driven platforms or operational dashboard solutions is a strong asset.
- Experience with SAP S/4 HANA reporting and/or Power BI analytics, including defining data requirements, KPIs, and delivering actionable insights.
- Understanding of digital platforms, APIs, integrations, and cloud-based solutions.
- Experience leveraging enterprise AI tools (e.g., Copilot, LLMs) to improve analysis, documentation efficiency, and insight generation, with the ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
- Preferred Certifications
- CBAP, CCBA, or PMI-PBA
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Agilist
- Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate or equivalent
