About The Role
Sentara Health is seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst - Operations to join its dynamic team. This fully remote position plays a critical role in the implementation and support of quality initiatives within designated operational areas. The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert, providing insights related to quality initiative deployment, reporting, and data analysis. Acting as a vital liaison between internal teams, external partners, and Information Technology, the Senior Business Analyst ensures that business definitions, scope, testing, and implementation processes align with organizational goals. The role demands a high level of operational knowledge, particularly concerning customer operations related to claims processing, system administration, business expansion, and member enrollment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals to contribute to strategic initiatives that improve efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall business performance.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred but not mandatory.
- No specific certification or licensure is required for this role.
- Minimum of 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in the healthcare industry.
- Extensive experience working with health plans, including Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial enrollments.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL is essential for data analysis and reporting tasks.
- Experience working within an Agile environment is required.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting with competing priorities.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, data analysis, and handling large datasets.
Responsibilities
The Senior Business Analyst - Operations will be responsible for a variety of critical functions, including:
- Leading the implementation of quality initiatives across designated operational areas, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and objectives.
- Collaborating with internal teams, external partners, and IT to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
- Developing and maintaining detailed reports and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators related to quality and operational efficiency.
- Conducting comprehensive data analysis to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Facilitating testing phases, including user acceptance testing, to ensure solutions meet business needs and quality standards.
- Supporting system enhancements and process redesign efforts to optimize claims processing, member enrollment, and other customer operations.
- Providing subject matter expertise on health plan operations, including Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial segments.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies during project execution.
- Participating in Agile ceremonies and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Providing training and support to end-users to maximize the effective use of new systems and processes.
