Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a large-scale, multi-year technology modernization initiative. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in business process analysis, requirements gathering, user story development, functional testing, UAT, and stakeholder communication.
This position will work closely with business users, product owners, developers, QA teams, and technical stakeholders to analyze existing processes, define future-state workflows, document requirements, and ensure technology solutions meet business needs.
The successful candidate should be an excellent communicator who can translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable technical work items.

Key Responsibilities
Business & Process Analysis
• Work with business stakeholders to understand current processes, workflows, challenges, and improvement opportunities.
• Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for increased efficiency and automation.
• Create clear process maps, swimlane diagrams, workflow charts, and process documentation.
• Facilitate discussions to define and document future-state processes.
• Partner with technical teams to understand system capabilities and translate business needs into technical requirements.
Requirements Gathering & Documentation
• Gather, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements.
• Develop clear and actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and Azure DevOps work items.
• Ensure requirements are complete, consistent, testable, and aligned with business priorities.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to refine and validate requirements.
• Maintain accurate project and requirements documentation throughout the development lifecycle.
Testing & UAT
• Develop test plans, test cases, test scripts, and step-by-step testing instructions.
• Perform functional testing of user stories in development and test environments.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
• Validate fixes and ensure requirements have been successfully implemented.
• Coordinate and/or lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders.
• Work with development and QA teams to resolve testing issues and ensure solution readiness.
Stakeholder Communication
• Serve as a key liaison between business and technical teams.
• Facilitate meetings, requirement sessions, and process workshops.
• Communicate project status, risks, issues, and dependencies clearly and proactively.
• Build strong relationships with business users and technical stakeholders.
• Support change management activities, including training documentation, user guidance, and process materials.
Required Qualifications
• 5–7+ years of Business Analyst experience or equivalent experience in business/process analysis.
• Strong experience with business process analysis and process documentation.
• Experience creating process maps, workflow diagrams, and swimlane diagrams.
• Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills.
• Hands-on experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Experience creating and executing test cases/test scripts.
• Hands-on experience with functional testing and UAT.
• Experience using Azure DevOps or similar work-item/project management tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
• Experience supporting large-scale application modernization or transformation projects.
• Experience working with cloud-based technology environments, particularly Microsoft Azure.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum or structured SDLC environment.
• Experience collaborating with developers, QA teams, Product Owners, and business stakeholders.
• Ability to translate complex business processes into clear technical requirements.
