Billing Analyst

Job Summary

Our client, a leading utility and energy provider, is seeking a Billing Analyst to join their team. This will be a Billing Analyst role with an emphasis on quality assurance.

Key Details:

• Contract Duration: ASAP – 01/29/2027
• Work Location: San Diego, CA
• Client laptop will be provided for the assignment
• Onsite Monday-Thursday, remote on Fridays
• Hours are 8 AM - 5 PM
• This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role.

• Core Responsibilities
• Perform quality assurance checks for a managed service provider and oversee processes related to utility billing operations (including bill adjustments, rebills, exception handling, and credit-related activities)
• Perform quality assurance checks for managed service provider
• Manage standard utility billing activities, including bill adjustments, rebills, and exception handling, with working knowledge of tariffs, customer classifications, and regulatory requirements
• Process billing adjustments and rebills
• Follow rate schedules, tariffs, and customer class rules
• Review usage data, billing determinants, and account configurations
• Resolve routine billing exceptions and customer billing inquiries
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal audit controls
• Provide informal guidance or review support to managed service provider

• Compensation & Benefits
• Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is $25.00 and $30.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums
