We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Benefits Analyst to join our HR team. This role is ideal for someone who not only understands employee benefits programs but can confidently communicate, interpret, and quote benefits offerings to employees, leadership, and external partners.
The ideal candidate is analytical, customer-focused, and able to translate complex benefits information into clear, easy-to-understand guidance.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze, administer, and support employee benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, retirement, and ancillary benefits)
Serve as a subject matter expert on benefits offerings and eligibility
Clearly explain benefit plans, coverage options, and costs to employees and stakeholders
Prepare and provide accurate benefits quotes for employees, candidates, and internal teams
Partner with brokers and vendors to gather plan details, pricing, and updates
Assist with open enrollment planning, communication, and execution
Audit benefits data and ensure accuracy across HRIS and vendor systems
Research and resolve employee benefits issues and inquiries in a timely manner
Evaluate benefits utilization, trends, and costs; provide recommendations for improvements
Support compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., ACA, COBRA, ERISA)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
2+ years of experience in benefits administration, HR, or a related role
Strong understanding of employee benefits plans and terminology
Ability to interpret plans and confidently explain them to a variety of audiences
Experience preparing or reviewing benefits quotes and cost comparisons
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Excel
Preferred Skills
Experience working with benefits brokers or carriers
Knowledge of compliance requirements and regulations
Strong problem-solving and customer service mindset
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
