We are seeking a talented engineer to join a dynamic team focused on evolving our cutting-edge data infrastructure. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of developing and enhancing the platform that powers analytical capabilities across the organization, providing crucial insights that drive both internal decision-making and industry-facing tools. Your work will directly impact the reliability and scalability of our data systems, enabling seamless data visualization and empowering teams to make informed, data-driven choices.
As part of a platform team, you will exemplify, measure, and raise the reliability of data infrastructure for various teams within the organization. You will collaborate closely with engineers to provide OLAP capabilities, building dynamic and reliable data visualizations, and share responsibility in diagnosing, resolving, and preventing production issues. We champion engineering teams taking operational responsibility for their products and are committed to supporting them in this endeavor.
What You’ll Do
- Build, operate, and evolve a data analytics platform that includes backend services and an OLAP data store for teams building analytics across the company.
- Develop internal tooling, libraries, and services that streamline integration patterns with our analytics platform.
- Advocate for best practices in service design, data modeling, schema evolution, and contract testing to ensure long-term maintainability.
- Work in an autonomous, cross-functional environment, collaborating with teams across the organization to continuously iterate and deliver on new product objectives.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of relevant experience with distributed datastores and backend services.
- Proficient in Java.
- Understanding of data modeling, dimensional schemas, and analytical query patterns.
- Experience building internal developer tools, libraries, or shared services that support large engineering organizations.
- Strong sense of ownership of service quality, Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and operational excellence.
- Familiar with OLAP databases or analytics warehouses.
- Comfort with metrics-driven development and observability stacks.
- A strong communicator and an empathetic, attentive listener with the capability to anticipate the needs of partners.
- Deeply curious and passionate about exploring both technical and organizational problems and domains.
- Eager to learn new technologies and expand your area of expertise.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Excited to learn Kubernetes and Terraform.
- Experience with specific OLAP technologies.

Other Requirements
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $59.00 to $63.00. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
