Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer with a strong background in Python development and big data technologies. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable data processing pipelines, leveraging a range of AWS services and big data tools to drive data-driven insights and solutions.

Key Qualifications:

• 10+ years of hands-on Python development experience, specifically for big data applications.
• Proven experience in building scalable and efficient data pipelines using big data technologies including Hadoop/EMR, Spark, and Hive.
• Deep expertise in AWS platforms and services such as Lambda, EventBridge, Step Functions, Redshift, S3, and Glue.
• Extensive hands-on development with API integrations, SQL queries, data manipulation, transformation, analysis, and visualization.
• Strong background in data analysis and mining, with practical experience analyzing large datasets to extract actionable insights.
• Solid understanding and implementation experience with CI/CD pipelines, including tools like GitLab and Terraform.
• Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to drive solutions, evaluate alternatives, and draw sound conclusions.
• Proven collaborator who builds positive relationships across teams and levels within a matrixed organization.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Required Skills:
• 10+ years of Python development for big data applications.
• 5+ years of development experience with AWS services including EMR, Lambda, EventBridge, Step Functions, Redshift, S3, and Glue.
• 5+ years of experience with API calls, SQL, Spark, data transformation, analysis, and visualization.
