Contract: 12+ Months (Potential Extension)

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Asset Management Analyst to support IT Asset Management operations and State of Good Repair (SOGR) lifecycle initiatives. The analyst will be responsible for maintaining accurate IT asset records, validating physical hardware inventory, reconciling discrepancies, and supporting the complete lifecycle of computer equipment.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ServiceNow, IT hardware asset management, inventory reconciliation, asset lifecycle management, and Excel-based reporting. This role requires close collaboration with IT field teams, desktop support, logistics, vendors, end users, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and analyze IT hardware asset data within ServiceNow and other asset-management systems.
• Conduct physical inventory validation across multiple locations and reconcile discrepancies.
• Track computers, peripherals, and IT equipment throughout the complete asset lifecycle.
• Manage asset activities including receipt, deployment, assignment, transfer, refresh, recovery, retirement, and disposal.
• Identify and resolve missing, duplicate, inaccurate, or incomplete asset records.
• Coordinate with desktop support, field IT, logistics, vendors, and end users to verify asset status, ownership, location, and condition.
• Support large-scale hardware deployments, refreshes, relocations, inventory sweeps, and recovery initiatives.
• Research device models, hardware configurations, part numbers, and equipment standards.
• Develop and distribute reports covering inventory accuracy, asset aging, deployment status, compliance, and lifecycle activity.
• Review and improve asset-management processes, procedures, documentation, and data standards.
• Support implementation and enhancement of ServiceNow HAM, CMDB, ITSM, and related asset-management capabilities.
• Maintain documentation and audit evidence to support internal controls, compliance, and audit requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in IT Asset Management, Hardware Asset Management, hardware inventory, asset tracking, logistics, desktop operations, or technology lifecycle management.
• Hands-on experience maintaining and reconciling asset records in ServiceNow or another enterprise asset-management platform.
• Experience performing physical inventory validation and resolving discrepancies between physical assets and system records.
• Strong understanding of IT hardware asset lifecycle processes.
• Strong Excel, reporting, data analysis, and documentation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of asset data.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with technical teams, field personnel, vendors, and end users.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM).
• Experience with ServiceNow CMDB and ITSM.
• Desktop support, hardware deployment, imaging, refresh, recovery, or field-services experience.
• Logistics, warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory control, or equipment-disposition experience.
• Knowledge of IT asset lifecycle controls, audit requirements, chain of custody, and compliance reporting.
• Experience working in a large enterprise, government, transportation, or similarly complex environment.
