We are currently supporting a rapidly growing advanced manufacturing organization that is looking to appoint an Asset & Maintenance Data Specialist to support the transition of new equipment and assets from Capital Projects into Operations.

This is a hybrid position that sits across capital projects, maintenance, reliability, and asset information management. You'll play an important role in ensuring that equipment being designed, procured, installed, and commissioned is handed over to Operations with the correct asset structures, equipment information, BOMs, spare parts, and maintenance data established within SAP. The role will work closely with engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, maintenance, and operations teams, effectively acting as the link between project delivery and the teams that will ultimately operate and maintain the assets.

Key responsibilities:

  • • Preparing and validating asset and maintenance data ahead of project handover into Operations
  • • Creating and maintaining equipment records, functional locations, asset hierarchies, and associated master data within SAP
  • • Developing and validating equipment BOMs, spare parts information, task lists, and maintenance plans
  • • Working with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to capture and verify equipment and asset information throughout the project lifecycle
  • • Reviewing vendor documentation, equipment data books, commissioning information, and turnover packages to ensure information is complete and accurate
  • • Supporting the migration, integration, and validation of asset data between project systems and SAP
  • • Working closely with Maintenance and Operations teams to ensure systems and asset information are ready ahead of equipment startup and handover
  • • Identifying gaps or inconsistencies in asset information and coordinating with internal teams, contractors, and equipment suppliers to resolve them

From a profile perspective, this role would suit someone who combines a good understanding of maintenance and reliability with strong SAP and asset data experience. You could currently be working within asset or maintenance data, or have come through a maintenance, reliability, asset integrity, or industrial operations background and developed strong experience working with SAP and equipment data. You'll need hands-on SAP experience, ideally across PM and/or MM, along with an understanding of equipment records, functional locations, asset hierarchies, BOMs, and maintenance information. Previous experience supporting capital projects, commissioning, project handover, or operational readiness would be highly beneficial, as would experience within manufacturing, mining, metals, chemicals, energy, or another asset-intensive industrial environment. A relevant degree is preferred.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a business going through a significant period of growth and capital investment and play an important role in how new manufacturing assets are transitioned into Operations. The position offers strong long-term career prospects, a competitive compensation package, and the opportunity to work closely with both major capital projects and the operational teams that will ultimately own and maintain the assets.
