We are seeking an experienced Data Platform Architect to lead the design and evolution of our enterprise data and analytics ecosystem. This individual will define the technical vision, architectural standards, and engineering principles that underpin a modern, cloud-based data platform. Working closely with engineering, analytics, governance, and business stakeholders, the Data Platform Architect will ensure the platform is scalable, secure, cost-efficient, and capable of supporting advanced reporting, analytics, and data-driven decision-making across a complex, highly regulated organization.
- Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the end-to-end architecture for the organization's data and analytics platform, including data ingestion, storage, transformation, orchestration, and consumption layers.
- Design scalable cloud-based data solutions that support both structured and semi-structured data workloads.
- Establish enterprise standards and best practices for data architecture, modeling, integration, and engineering.
- Develop architectural patterns that support data quality, governance, lineage, security, and long-term scalability.
- Evaluate and implement modern data technologies and integration frameworks that align with business and technical objectives.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership, architectural guidance, and design reviews for engineering teams.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the platform supports current and future analytical, operational, and product requirements.
- Lead modernization initiatives and guide the migration from legacy environments to strategic cloud-based solutions.
- Define standards for platform performance optimization, access management, and cost efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement of the organization's data architecture and engineering practices.
- Experience & Knowledge
- Required
- Significant experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-scale cloud data platforms.
- Deep expertise in modern data architecture principles and data warehousing methodologies.
- Strong experience with data modeling techniques, including dimensional modeling and other scalable architectural approaches.
- Experience implementing modern data transformation, orchestration, and integration solutions.
- Proven experience establishing architectural standards, governance frameworks, and engineering best practices.
- Experience working within version-controlled and automated deployment environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, performance optimization, and cost management.
- Preferred
- Experience supporting organizations operating within highly regulated industries such as insurance, financial services, healthcare, or banking.
- Experience with metadata management, data cataloging, and lineage solutions.
- Exposure to advanced analytics, business intelligence, and self-service data platforms.
- Relevant experience supporting global or multi-entity organizations.
