  • We are seeking an experienced Information Services Lead to provide strategic and operational leadership for enterprise healthcare applications and information systems. This senior-level role is responsible for coordinating application support, implementation, optimization, and governance activities while serving as the primary escalation point within a designated technology focus area.
  • The ideal candidate combines deep application expertise, healthcare systems knowledge, project leadership capabilities, and strong stakeholder management skills to ensure high-quality service delivery, successful project execution, and continuous improvement across the information services landscape.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Application Leadership & Support
  • Serve as the senior functional and technical lead for assigned applications and focus areas.
  • Provide oversight for:
  • Incident Management
  • Problem Management
  • Change Management
  • Request Management
  • Production Support
  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex issues and application-related challenges.
  • Ensure systems operate effectively and support organizational goals.
  • Implementation & Optimization
  • Lead all phases of application implementation, including:
  • Design
  • Build
  • Configuration
  • Testing
  • Go-Live Support
  • Post-Implementation Optimization
  • Support large-scale system enhancements and upgrades.
  • Ensure solution designs align with operational and clinical requirements.
  • Drive adoption of new functionality and process improvements.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to analysts and team members.
  • Organize workload distribution and resource allocation to meet project and operational objectives.
  • Mentor staff on application design, configuration, troubleshooting, and best practices.
  • Support knowledge transfer and cross-training initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Project & Program Management
  • Lead complex, high-impact projects across multiple applications and stakeholder groups.
  • Coordinate project activities, timelines, deliverables, risks, and dependencies.
  • Provide status reporting and executive-level communication.
  • Escalate issues and risks appropriately to leadership.
  • Ensure projects meet customer expectations, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Business Analysis & Process Improvement
  • Lead requirements gathering, process analysis, and workflow assessments.
  • Develop process maps, specifications, and solution recommendations.
  • Analyze operational challenges and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support process redesign, system optimization, and efficiency initiatives.
  • Ensure solutions align with business and clinical objectives.
  • Stakeholder Relationship Management
  • Build trusted relationships with operational leaders, administrators, clinicians, and business stakeholders.
  • Serve as a liaison between technology teams and business functions.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Facilitate workgroups, workshops, and cross-functional meetings.
  • Identify new opportunities to enhance application capabilities and service delivery.
  • Healthcare Systems & Application Expertise
  • Maintain expert knowledge of supported applications and healthcare workflows.
  • Analyze and configure complex integrated solutions across multiple systems.
  • Support enterprise healthcare technology initiatives and operational transformation projects.
  • Stay current with industry trends, application enhancements, and vendor updates.
  • Documentation, Governance & Compliance
  • Develop and maintain application documentation, standards, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and technology governance standards.
  • Support audit readiness and operational controls.
  • Maintain accurate project, configuration, and support documentation.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation
  • Identify opportunities to improve application performance, usability, and service delivery.
  • Lead cross-functional efforts to implement enhancements and best practices.
  • Participate in strategic planning and roadmap discussions.
  • Promote innovation and operational excellence across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Education
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred in:
  • Information Systems
  • Healthcare Administration
  • Business Administration
  • Computer Science
  • Related Field
  • Required Experience
  • 5โ€“7 years of experience supporting healthcare, business, or information systems.
  • Experience leading enterprise application implementations and optimization efforts.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional projects and stakeholder groups.
  • Strong healthcare operations and systems knowledge.
  • Experience mentoring or leading team members.
  • Preferred Experience
  • Supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • 2+ years of project management experience.
  • Experience supporting Epic or other healthcare information systems.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and enterprise initiatives.
  • Experience with healthcare workflows, clinical systems, and operational technologies.
