- Are you an experienced healthcare IT professional with expertise in application support, system optimization, workflow analysis, and project leadership?
- We are seeking an Application System Analyst Senior to serve as a key liaison between business operations, end users, IT teams, and vendors. This role is responsible for analyzing requirements, configuring and optimizing applications, leading testing initiatives, managing medium-to-large projects, and ensuring technology solutions align with operational and clinical needs.
- The ideal candidate combines strong expertise in healthcare information systems, application support, business analysis, system configuration, workflow optimization, project management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Key Responsibilities
- Application Analysis & Support
- Analyze, design, configure, implement, and support assigned applications.
- Optimize application functionality to meet business and operational goals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues and service requests.
- Ensure system performance, reliability, and usability.
- Support ongoing application maintenance and enhancement activities.
- Business Analysis & Requirements Management
- Partner with customers, operational leaders, and stakeholders to understand business needs.

- Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Recommend cross-application improvements and best practices.
- System Design & Configuration
- Independently design and configure solutions for complex business requirements.

- Evaluate design alternatives and provide recommendations.
- Ensure configurations support operational efficiency and future growth.
- Mentor team members on advanced configuration and design concepts.
- Testing & Quality Assurance
- Lead application testing activities including:
- Unit Testing
- Integrated Testing
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Regression Testing
- Develop testing plans, scripts, and validation procedures.
- Coordinate testing across multiple teams and applications.
- Ensure quality standards are met before deployment.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for testing and validation processes.
- Project Leadership
- Manage medium-to-large-scale projects and system enhancement requests.
- Coordinate activities across business, operational, and technical teams.
- Track project progress and communicate status updates.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
- Ensure projects are delivered on schedule and meet stakeholder expectations.
- Healthcare Workflow Optimization
- Analyze clinical and business workflows to identify improvement opportunities.
- Promote standardized practices across departments and facilities.
- Collaborate with operational leadership to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Recommend technology-enabled process improvements.
- Support enterprise-wide workflow alignment initiatives.
- Vendor & Technical Coordination
- Coordinate with software vendors regarding:
- Product Enhancements
- Defect Resolution
- Code Changes
- System Updates
- Work with technical infrastructure teams to resolve application-related issues.
- Support implementation of vendor upgrades and releases.
- Share vendor best practices with stakeholders and leadership.
- Change Management & Governance
- Follow established change management processes.
- Ensure system changes are:

- Maintain compliance with organizational standards and governance requirements.
- Support release management activities.
- Stakeholder Relationship Management
- Develop trusted relationships with:

- Ensure customer needs are accurately represented in projects and enhancements.
- Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.

- Perform root cause analysis on recurring issues.
- Escalate and coordinate resolution when necessary.

Qualifications
- Education
- Preferred
- Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in:
- Healthcare

- Related Field
Experience
- Required
- 5+ years of experience in:
- Healthcare Information Systems
- Business Systems Analysis
