API Business Systems Analyst (BSA)

Role: API Business Systems Analyst (BSA) –

Location: Toronto Canada ---Hybrid – 2 days onsite

• Role Summary
• Business Systems Analyst with strong API integration expertise to bridge business requirements and technical solutions. You will analyze systems, design process improvements, and guide API-driven implementations across our organization.
• Key Responsibilities
• ·Gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications for API development and integration projects
• ·Design and document system solutions leveraging RESTful APIs, microservices, and modern integration patterns
• ·Collaborate with developers, architects, and stakeholders to define API contracts, data models, and integration workflows
• ·Perform system impact analysis and create process flow diagrams, data maps, and technical requirements documents
• ·Lead UAT planning, test case development, and validation of API functionality and system integration
• ·Document API standards, best practices, and maintain system architecture documentation
• ·Support production deployments and resolve integration issues with technical teams
• Required Qualifications
• ·5+ years of business systems analysis experience
• ·2+ years hands-on experience with API design, development, and integration projects
• ·Strong understanding of REST principles, API authentication, data serialization (JSON/XML)
• ·Proficiency with API design tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, API Blueprint)
• ·Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
• ·Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Nice-to-Have
• ·Experience with API management platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, AWS API Gateway, Azure API Management)
• ·Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• ·Experience in financial services or banking
• ·Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
