- dbt (Data Build Tool): Proficiency with dbt is crucial for building and managing data transformations and workflows.

Ideal Candidate:
- 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data architecture, or data platform development.
- Expert SQL skills and experience developing production-grade analytical data models.
- Proficiency with modern data stack tools such as dbt, Starburst, GitHub, and Airflow.
- Advanced knowledge of Tableau and experience designing responsive, user-facing dashboards.
- Python proficiency for data transformation and workflow automation.
- Strong understanding of data governance, performance optimization, and observability.
- Proven success leading data initiatives and mentoring junior team members.
- Comfort using or learning AI-supported tools (e.g., ChatGPT, CoPilot, or role-specific tools) to improve daily workflows.
- A forward-thinking, curious mindset with an openness to experimenting with new technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound judgment and creativity in designing solutions.

- The engineer will spend their time architecting, optimizing, and maintaining analytical data models and pipelines.

- Job Description, Context and Opportunity: Sr. Analytics Engineer to design, implement and optimize scalable, reliable, and high-performance data systems that power Bamboo Health’s analytics and care coordination products. As Sr. Analytics Engineer, you will bridge data engineering, analytics, product, and business strategy to deliver insights that directly influence product direction, operational efficiency, and customer outcomes. Successful candidates excel at innovative problem solving, cross-team collaboration, and independently leveraging data to address the challenges our customers face in physical and behavioral care coordination.
- Analytics vs. Data Engineering: The Analytics Engineer acts as a bridge. The Data Engineering team builds and maintains the foundational data infrastructure and pipelines. The Analytics Engineer then takes that data, models it, and transforms it to make it useful for analysis and reporting, directly supporting business and product intelligence.
- Architect, optimize, and maintain analytical data models and pipelines that power internal and customer-facing reporting solutions.
- Collaborate across teams (Product, Engineering, Implementation, and Operations) to translate business needs into actionable data solutions.
- Drive initiatives to automate and standardize reporting frameworks, improving scalability, accuracy and maintainability.
- Create new dashboards and reporting capabilities that increase customer and user value.
- Become the technical subject matter expert on reporting and data components to provide accurate insights to other team members and leadership.
- Identify repetitive tasks and partner with team leads to implement scalable automation solutions.
