- About the Role
- Retailogists is seeking a strategic, analytical, and results-driven Analytics Engineer to join our engineering team and work with one of our key clients.
- The ideal candidate will own the design, delivery, and optimization of business-critical dashboards that turn data into action, with hands-on experience in AWS QuickSight and modern cloud data platforms.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable, high-impact BI dashboards using QuickSight for client projects.
- Create and optimize datasets using technologies such as S3, GCS, Athena, and BigQuery.
- Administer BI tools, including users, security, permissions, and cost controls.
- Automate data quality, accuracy, and performance monitoring across dashboards.
- Collaborate with engineers and business/product teams in an agile setup.
- Contribute to analytics standards, documentation, and best practices.
- Contribute to internal innovation in the areas of data, analytics, and LLM-assisted/agentic data workflows.
- Required Qualifications
- Minimum three years of experience in analytics engineering and/or dashboard development on agile teams.
- Proficiency in translating complex business needs into formal technical data specifications and precise SQL.
- Strong foundations in analytics data modeling and design.
- Clear communication and strong team collaboration across departments.
- Hands-on experience with AWS QuickSight and administering QuickSight IAM.
- Hands-on experience with AWS data services, including S3 and Athena.
- Working knowledge of SQL execution and cost impact on distributed query engines like Athena.
- Hands-on experience with dashboard UX, data visualization, and storytelling.
- Hands-on experience using modern Gen AI in engineering workflows (for example, Cursor, Claude).
- Nice to have
- Retail, fashion, or logistics/supply chain experience.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Experience in academia/industry collaborations.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science/Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
