  • Role Description The Analytics Engineer (AI & Industrial Analytics) role at AI-innovate is a full-time, on-site position based in Burlington, ON. In this role, the Analytics Engineer will design, build, and maintain data pipelines and analytics solutions that support AI-driven machine vision platforms for industrial clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include collecting and transforming data from manufacturing systems, modeling data for analytics and reporting, and contributing to data warehousing solutions that enable robust monitoring and decision-making. The role involves collaborating with engineering, product, and client teams to understand business requirements, translate them into data models, and ensure data quality and reliability for AI and analytics workflows. The Analytics Engineer will also help optimize existing data processes, support performance tuning, and contribute to the continuous improvement of analytical tools and dashboards.
  • Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Data Engineering and Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes to build and maintain reliable data pipelines.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Data Modeling and Data Warehousing to design scalable structures for analytics and reporting.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Data Analytics to derive insights, support decision-making, and improve industrial workflows.
  • Experience with SQL and at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering (such as Python or Scala) is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms, distributed data processing, and BI or visualization tools is an asset.
  • Background in industrial analytics, manufacturing systems, or machine vision environments is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams are expected.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
