Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Analyze supply agreement performance and identify opportunities to improve margin, supply optionality, sourcing strategies, and overall purchasing position.
  • Develop negotiation support materials, including volume analyses, market assessments, pricing comparisons, supplier performance evaluations, profitability models, and strategic supply recommendations.
  • Monitor supply market trends and provide recommendations to optimize sourcing outcomes and commercial performance.
  • Enter, maintain, and validate supply agreements, pricing structures, rebates, and commercial terms within RightAngle and other applicable systems.
  • Support M&A integrations, site transfers, supply network transitions, and other strategic initiatives affecting supply operations.
  • Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies, automatch exceptions, pricing variances, supplier settlements, and other issues impacting financial performance.
  • Perform root cause analysis on recurring operational and financial issues and implement corrective actions to improve processes and controls.
  • Communicate supply-related risks, disruptions, and changes to stakeholders and coordinate timely resolution to minimize business impact.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance reporting, dashboards, analytical tools, and data quality processes that support supply decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities that increase reporting effectiveness, process efficiency, and overall business performance.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses, provide operational support, and contribute to special projects and strategic initiatives within the Supply organization.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, Logistics, Accounting, or related field
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
  • Experience performing analytical work that supports commercial or operational decision-making.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen.
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas, and data analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to independently prioritize work and manage competing deadlines.
  • Ability to develop data-driven recommendations and effectively communicate findings to business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within the petroleum, energy, fuels, logistics, or supply chain industries.
  • Working knowledge of RightAngle, DTN TABS, Salesforce, Power BI, or similar commercial systems.
  • Understanding of fuel pricing mechanisms, supply agreements, transportation economics, and commercial operations.
  • Experience supporting supply negotiations, contract analysis, or strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Knowledge of accounting reconciliation processes and transactional issue resolution.

Required Experience Is Commensurate With The Selected Job Level

  • The Associate Analyst requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 0-2 years of relevant job experience.
  • The Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Senior Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience

Working Conditions

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job

  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Complete all travel and expense related reports.
  • Must be flexible to work evenings and weekends
  • Ability to support urgent operational issues outside normal business hours when necessary.
